THEATER

Real-time design of complex lighting scenes to facilitate design scheming and scene composition and evaluation.
Color mixing, textured lighting, projected images (gobos) and scenery color and light interactions can all be accurately modeled and revised to achieve creative objectives.
Scale modeling reduces consuming changing and focusing of real-room situations and eliminates the need to coordinate room time with other artists and technical personnel.

ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING

Speculative lighting design proposals can be schemed and evaluated in real-time with accurate color rendering and lighting distribution characteristics for both interior and exterior architectural situations.
Explorations of colored light and surface color interactions are easily achieved in relation to the spatial characteristics of rooms - incorporating diffuse surface reflections. The interaction of daylight and electrical light can also be modeled. Point source and line sources can be modeled.
Currently under development are methods to measure lighting levels (scale model) and make conversions to accurately predict full- scale wattage and power budget data.

ARCHITECTURAL ACOUSTICS

Room acoustic sound distribution can be analyzed utilizing the tightly controlled light beams and focusing capabilities of the micro fixtures. Scale model acoustic studies include the combined effects of many sound reflecting and diffusing surfaces.
Mirrored surfaces can be contoured and controlled to simulate sound diffusion properties.
Color control of light can be used to isolate acoustic (light) sources and the path sound takes to arrive a particular location.

CINEMATOGRAPHY MODELING

Scale cinematography can benefit from the precise instrument control of color and beam angle, gobo light textures, images and patterns, and dimming control capabilities.
The advantage of a remote heat source provides added safety when working with combustible model materials - lights can be on for hours without heating set pieces.
Multiple sources (100+) can be easily managed and controlled producing dense richly spatial miniature sets.
